The Poynette-Dekorra Fire Department is currently housed in a 22,500 square foot station on the north side of Poynette. It houses dorm rooms and a day area, large meeting spaces, drive through apparatus bays, a vehicle wash bay, and a 34-foot hose drying and training tower. There is additional space to the north for training grounds, which is featured below.

Accelerated in 2025 due to amazing community support and in partnership with local businesses, Poynette Ironworks and Doherty Excavating, our training grounds are ever evolving and we are excited to build on our understanding of fire fighting in order to better protect the citizens of our district.
